On April 01, 1832, the name of Muslim mixed school was started by the Southern rulers of Sainthamaruthu due to the efforts of Rasa Vasal Ketmuldiyar Marhoom MS Gariyapar, who was one of the pioneers of Muslim politics in the political history of Sri Lanka. It is situated in the south-east of the town near the beautiful beach.
